NEET 2017: Result, Counselling, Admission Procedure

neet-2017NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is conducted for students to get admission into first year of MBBS/BDS course in India. NEET 2017 will be managed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is the best gateway for the students to get admission into different medical & dental colleges in India. This exam was organized on 7th May 2017. From the year 2016, AIPMT exam has been replaced by the NEET.

Candidates are informed that NEET three attempt limits will be counted from the year 2017. Students may apply for NEET 2017 examination only three times.

Aadhaar Card is mandatory to apply for NEET 2017 examination.

NEET 2017 can be written in 10 regional languages namely English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Odia, Kannada and Telugu.

NEET Application Form 2017

Candidates must apply for NEET 2017 through online mode only. NEET Application Form 2017 was available from 31st January 2017 to 1st March 2017. Now, NEET application form 2017 has been re-opened for candidates having age 25 years or more. Application window was open from 1st April to 5th April 2017. Candidates are required to check their eligibility before filling the application form.

The Application Fee was submitted through online (Debit Card/Credit Card/e-wallet/ net banking). The application fee is given here:

 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria is mentioned below:

  • Students can apply for NEET exam only three times. NEET 2017 will be considered as the first attempt.
  • All Indian citizen must have Aadhaar Card to apply.
  • The applicants must be an INDIAN citizen or OCI (overseas citizen of India).
  • The applicant must be of 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
  • The upper age limit criteria of 25 years has not been removed in NEET 2017.
  • The applicant must have qualified 12th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology or any other elective subjects with English.
  • Appearing applicants can also apply.
  • The applicants must have scored 50% in PCB group (45% for general PH and 40% for SC/ST/OBC).

NEET Exam Pattern 2017

The board may conduct the NEET 2017 exam on 7th May 2017 through offline mode. The duration of the exam was 3 hours. There was total 180 question of MCQ type. Applicants get 4 marks for each correct answer. There will be penalty of 1 mark for each wrong answer. The question paper will be available in 8 languages including English, Tamil, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu

NEET Syllabus

The syllabus was based on class 11th and 12thThe question paper was divided into 4 section which include Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany.

How to Prepare For NEET 2017

Applicants can go through the test series, books, and practice papers. Candidates can check the latest syllabus of NEET 2017. NCERT books will be quite helpful in preparing for the exam. They can take help from videos, internet, etc.

NEET Admit Card 2017

NEET 2017 Admit Card was issued through online mode. Candidates was able to download their admit card from 22nd April 2017. The Admit card includes necessary details such as candidate name, roll no, exam centre, father’s name,Date of Birth, Signature & Photograph.

NEET Result 2017

Candidates can check the NEET 2017 Result on 23rd June 2017. The result has been declared soon through online mode. No separate result will be announced for SC/ST category. Keep the print copy of the result for admission process.

NEET Counseling 2017

NEET 2017 counseling has been organized through online mode. First of all applicants have to do online registration. After this, there will be procedure of choice filling and locking. After above step, result will be declare about selection of college. Last procedure is reporting to the allotment college. The counselling process has been started from 3rd July 2017.

Admission procedure

The admission procedure will take place after the declaration of result according to cut-off marks. After that applicants have to submit the required documents at the time of admission.

  • 10th and 12th passing certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • NEET 2017 score card
  • Eight passport size photograph same as pasted on application form
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
